The Foundation of City College is an independent organization whose mission is to provide financial support for the students and programs of City College of San Francisco.

Foundation Promise Scholarship
The Foundation Promise Scholarship, in conjunction with the Metro Transfer Program (METRO), aims to help qualified high school seniors complete their degree in 5 semesters. Each matriculated, transfer bound student receives a $10,000 scholarship over two years allowing the student to finish and move on to a 4-year college or university, especially the CSU and UC systems.
President’s Welcome!
Mayah Curtis
As a lifelong San Franciscan with a deep passion for education, community, and the people who make this city remarkable, it is a privilege to serve as President of the City College of San Francisco Foundation. For 90 years, CCSF has stood as a beacon of opportunity—an institution where students from every background can discover their strengths, pursue their ambitions, and build a future they’re proud of.
Whether a student is training to become a phlebotomist or a first responder, mastering the craft of culinary arts in our renowned Culinary School, preparing for a career in nursing, fire science, or early childhood education, or laying the academic foundation for a degree in aeronautical engineering, CCSF offers a safe, supportive, and resolute place to learn. Today, new resources like the Student Success Center continue to strengthen that promise by providing students with the guidance, tutoring, and community they need to thrive.
The Foundation’s mission is to raise funds and build public support for the students and programs of CCSF. We pursue this mission by:
- Providing scholarships that open doors for students, including through the Foundation Promise Scholarship and Guardian Scholars programs
- Building and growing endowment funds that sustain student success and program excellence
- Securing ongoing philanthropic support from major donors, private and family foundations, and corporate partners
- Supporting the College’s institutional advancement and long-term vitality
